Hello everyone! 👋 Yesterday was International Women’s Day. I spent the day with the women in my life, celebrating and appreciating them. Because of that, I left the podcast for today. To go beyond a simple tribute and reflect on something that also matters deeply in the world of projects. Over decades working with projects across continents and industries, I learned something important: better projects do not come from uniformity. Projects don’t fail only because of technical problems. They often fail because teams begin to think the same way. Looking at risks through the same lenses and making decisions based on the same references. Uniformity can create a false sense of alignment. Complex projects require different perspectives, experiences, and ways of interpreting the same situation. And that’s why the participation of women matters so much. 🎯 Not because it sounds good. Not because it checks a box in a diversity policy. But because diversity of perspectives improves decision quality. It strengthens risk analysis, communication, and the way we engage stakeholders. Better projects happen when different voices are present, respected, and genuinely heard. 🎧Listen to the full episode: https://ricardo-vargas.com/podcasts/better-projects-do-not-come-from-uniformity-a-reflection-for-international-womens-day/ And finally, I would like to leave a special message for all women! Thank you for your commitment, dedication, and strength. In our projects, yes, but outside of them as well. Ricardo #5minpodcast #InternationalWomensDay #Leadership #ProjectManagement #Diversity
