Hello! ☀️ Today, on the #5minpodcast, I’m talking about something we often forget to do: stop and review the plan. August is ending. Time is flying. As people return from holidays and calendars start filling up again, it’s tempting to simply reopen the plans we paused and press play. But there’s a problem. The plan we are about to resume was written by people who did not know what we know today. And those people were us... eight months ago. They didn’t know how the budget would behave. They didn’t know what would happen with suppliers. They didn’t know what technology would be capable of by August. The world changed. And our plans should change with it. A mid-year review is not about checking whether we followed the original plan perfectly. It’s about asking whether the original plan still makes sense. Because sometimes the most responsible thing you can do is not to restart the plan.
