Hello, Last week I saw this great visual by Jeroen Kraaijenbrink 👏👏 It immediately made me think about Project Management. Many of us start our careers believing that a good plan is enough. You learn the methodologies, earn the certifications, manage your first project, and it feels like you’ve figured out how successful projects are delivered. Then reality shows up. Changing requirements, competing stakeholders, unexpected risks, and shifting priorities remind us that project management is as much about people and adaptation as it is about plans. Welcome to the Dunning-Kruger curve. As you gain experience, your confidence becomes quieter. You stop believing every project can be controlled and start focusing on what can be influenced. You realize that project management isn’t about having the perfect plan, it’s about leading people through uncertainty. The most effective project managers I’ve worked with share a common trait: They listen before they decide. They communicate early and often. And they’re comfortable saying, “Let’s reassess based on what we’ve learned.” That’s not uncertainty. That’s experience. Where do you think you are on this curve?
