Last week was great. It was such a fantastic positive energy to go back to Angola. The latest time I was there was 15 years ago. Time flies. At that time, explaining project management, the relevance of structured thinking to improve results, benefits management, and other concepts was a big challenge. Returning now, I could see another country—a conference with more than 1,000 attending physically and remotely. For the first time, I delivered my Uncertainty Cycle Workshop in Africa... And the magic happened. 🪄 It was the largest workshop I delivered globally—more than 150 people attended for a full day. Africa is a fascinating continent. Professionals are eager and hungry for knowledge, opportunities, and challenges. People did not want to leave during the break, and hundreds of questions were being asked. For someone who loves sharing knowledge, it was a gift. 🎁 It was not only better than the actual gift I received. I was treated with such care, respect, and love that my "Impostor Syndrome" reached new levels. From the outdoors in town to the typical dinners, from the painting produced during the day gifted to me to the caring of bringing me water during the endless debate during the class. It creates in me a sense of purpose in life that has no precedent. Thanks to my dear friends in Angola for that, especially Fernando Romero, Alcides Cabral, Joao Sarmento, Duarte Carvalho, and Laurinda Silva. By thanking them, I thank all PMI Angola Chapter volunteers and all participants who reached out to me for a photo, a talk, or to say hello. I can not miss my dear friend Ivan Moreira, who made all the effort to get this done since the day he first reached out to me about the event, almost one year ago. I wanted to make this post earlier, but I just landed in Sao Tomé and Principe, and I was preparing for the week. It will also be another blessing for me. Being able to work with the Ministry of Health in partnership with The Global Fund to help them with the 2024 program to fight HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis in the country. It is just fantastic to see that managing projects has limitless capabilities.
