The World Economic Forum released one more edition of the Global Risk Report. At this time of the year, it is critical for us to understand how society perceives the macro risks affecting our companies and projects. In this week’s episode, I comment on the report. I highlight and confirm some obvious risks like climate change and extreme weather on top of the long-term risks. This is not new, but it is reaching a critical point of no return. On top of the short-term risks is something I am talking about and posting almost every week: the combination of AI and societal polarization bringing massive pressure to the truth. Maybe very soon, we will not be able to distinguish what is true anymore. A big surprise for me was the lack of pandemic as a risk. It was on the top of the agenda a few years ago, and now it is not even on the top 10! Sadly, it demonstrates how we have short-lived memories... I strongly recommend you take a look at the report. It is full of fantastic insights. Stay well. Ricardo.
