Hi everyone, Something to think about during this weekend, and it goes deep into the discussions on how we speak and communicate. Recently, I came across a thought-provoking discussion on Reddit, Inc. about communication, and it made me reflect on the importance of applying filters before we speak. In a world where conversations are happening constantly, it’s crucial to think before we respond. I loved the questions below to understand the filters: 1) Intention – What is my purpose in saying this? Am I trying to help or just react? 2) Choice – Do I have a choice in how I respond, and am I choosing the most constructive path? 3) Compassion – Am I being considerate of the other person’s feelings and needs? 4) Empathy – Can I see things from the other person’s perspective to ensure my words are thoughtful and understanding? By understanding these filters, we can communicate with more purpose and clarity. Communication is not just about what we say, but how and why we say it. Thoughtful communication builds stronger relationships and fosters trust. Have a nice day!!
