Hi All This week's episode addresses the concepts underlining the "Passion Economy." While serving as a judging panelist for the 13th Annual Peter Drucker Challenge (httcccps://www.druckerchallenge.org/home/), I had the inspiration to create this week's episode. Before I dig in, one of my favorite volunteer projects is the Peter Drucker Challenge. It connects me with cutting-edge work being done all across the world by the next generation of students and professionals. The theme for this year's contest was "Towards The Passion Economy." The winners will be revealed on November 17 and 18 in Vienna during the 14th Annual Global Peter Drucker Forum (https://wwcccw.druckerforum.org/home/). It is a must-go event I have been glad to participate in since 2016. One of the most prominent examples of this concept is the digital influencer, who uses platforms like YouTube and TikTok to spread their ideas and monetize from their viewers' interest in what they have to say. After reading the candidate papers, I got additional proof that the process is not as straightforward as most people think. Although they may get all the attention, "rockstars" of the Passion Economy make up a minuscule percentage of the industry. On top of that, it is vital to highlight that it takes time and a lot of work to turn a passion into something financially viable. As Adam Davidson's book The Passion Economy examines in depth, your efforts to create money from a passion may not always provide the anticipated results. Listen to the #5minpodcast at the provided link to get insight and apply it to your projects and innovative initiatives. Have a wonderful week ahead. Stay safe and always mindfully passionate about things in life 😊❤️ Ricardo Vargas. https://ricardo-vargas.com/podcasts/benefits-and-drawbacks-of-the-passion-economy/ #passioneconomy #digitalinfluencer #projectmanager #passion
