Hi All More than 360 new artificial intelligence applications were released last week. An average of 50 apps per day! It is the "Wild West." This is not fast... This is stunning (for my lack of a better word). When I saw @heybarsee post on Twitter with the numbers and the names, I was afraid I would not be able to sleep that night. And this is the topic of this week's #5minpodcast episode. The first thing that came to mind was 1998/1999. I was a young professional and had the chance to witness the Dotcom becoming mainstream, then becoming a bubble, then bursting... My central question here is not about the proliferation of technologies employing artificial intelligence. If you still have doubts about that, you may be living on a different planet. 🙃 It is just inevitable. However, I must share a big concern: Does the rush to introduce these applications compromise the quality of the resulting products? How many applications will survive and provide a lasting benefit? In this type of project, the agile methodology is frequently employed, but if it is not implemented correctly, no supernatural force can make the product flawless. It is necessary to conduct the appropriate tests and business validations. And if the product is launched with errors and does not survive, it will be a massive loss of resources and energy. When things go wrong, people can't start attributing the poor results to the agile approach or, even better, to the fake agile they implemented. Fake Agile disregards planning, analysis, and strategic thinking to benefit speed. Fake Agile has nothing to do with Agile. Agile has thought, planning, and analysis. Never forget that haste makes waste. Listen to the podcast to learn more, and share your opinions and insights in the comments below. It is a critical question we must ask ourselves and look for a reasonable answer. Have a wonderful week ahead.
