Hi All Today starts the PMI Summit 2022 here in Las Vegas. 🚀 For me, the conferences promoted by the Project Management Institute have such a special meaning. I will never forget my first conference in 1998 in Long Beach. Since then, I have been fortunate not to miss A SINGLE ONE. It was twenty-four years in a row attending the North American conference, with a small gap in 2020 and 2021, when PMI did not realize the in-person conference due to the covid pandemic. I started when I was 26 years old, with no children yet (my wife Zelia was with me and expecting our first daughter Ana). At that time, I was trying to figure out the direction of my professional journey. I found it in #projectmanagement. PMI and all the amazing friends I made during this journey built who I am today, and I am incredibly grateful for that. The past weekend I was reflecting on my life, and I was truly nostalgic. I opened my old photobook looking for photos representing these magical moments of my life, and I decided to create this slideshow with images of this journey to inspire those starting their own journey. Yesterday I took the last photo with my badge for the 2022 conference! ❤️ For those attending in person, do not miss the chance to learn and connect with people.
