Hello everyone, I came across this great post by Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, and it really made me think about how closely good leadership is connected to effective project management. The 10 behaviors he highlights — Listen, Explain, Address, Delegate, Encourage, Respect, Serve, Honor, Invest, and Protect — are not only important for people managers. They are also essential for successful Project Managers. In project management, we work with different personalities, priorities, expectations, and pressures every day. A good Project Manager doesnt simply manage schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables. They also: → Listen to understand the team and stakeholders. → Explain the why behind decisions and changes. → Address issues before they become bigger problems. → Delegate with trust and clear accountability. → Encourage the team and recognize their contributions. → Respect different perspectives and expertise. → Serve by removing obstacles and enabling the team to succeed. → H onor commitments and build trust. → Invest in people, skills, and continuous improvement. → Protect the team when priorities, expectations, or challenges become unreasonable. For me, this is a great reminder that project management is ultimately about people as much as it is about processes. Thank you again, Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. 👏 Ricardo #ProjectManagement #Leadership #ProjectManager #PeopleLeadership #Teamwork Management Communication PMO LeadershipDevelopment ContinuousImprovement
