Good morning! ☀️ My dear friend Alfredo Roach shared a post with me last week from David Rogier about the fascinating story of Brian Scalabrine and how he proved that even a player often considered average in the NBA operates on a completely different level than a very good amateur player. It highlights how enormous the gap between professional athletes can be, and how much bigger it may be than we imagine. So, what if we applied this idea to project management? What is the Scalabrine Gap between the best and the worst Project Managers? Can the best PMs anticipate risks, manage stakeholders, mobilize teams, and deliver results at a level so far beyond the average that the gap is much greater than we think? And here’s an even more important question: Can we actually measure that gap? In sports, everyone can see the scoreboard. In project management, we often lack consistent metrics to distinguish those who genuinely create value from those who simply maintain the appearance of control. I believe that this is where PMGoal can make a difference: helping make project management performance more visible, measurable, and comparable, so we can identify best practices, improvement opportunities, and the behaviors that truly set top performers apart. 🔗 https://pmgoal.com/ Because, in the end, delivering a project is not the whole story. We need to understand how it was managed, the value it created, and what we can learn from those who consistently achieve better results. Where performance matters most, are we measuring it with the rigor it deserves? 🤔 Ricardo #PMGoal #ProjectManagement #ProjectManager #Performance #Leadership Excellence ContinuousImprovement PMO ValueCreation ProjectSuccess
