Hi All I was just wrapping up my day when I received a notification from YouTube that my video about the PMBOK®️ Guide reached 1 million views. This is incredible for me. This mental model all started in 1998 when I tried to get my PMP for the first time. At that time... I failed... After that, I promised myself that I would do things differently for my retake. I started studying by creating some sort of puzzle to figure out how the 33 pieces of the game would fit together logically (yes, at the time, there were only 33 processes). It worked, and I passed in 1999. 21 years ago. When PMI released the next edition, I decided to update my mental model to the new version and share it with everybody on Youtube. I did that for all versions since then. You can see these historical videos on my channel. But this last version had a very unexpected result. Just to give you context, I recorded it in one afternoon in scorching hot weather. I had no time to prepare and absolutely no opportunity to record it more than once. I did it all from the top of my head. The final video had a lot of mistakes due to my poor English. My daughters wanted me to record it again. I didn't. It was published with the best intentions to support my colleagues in understanding using logic and common sense. Something that, if you read from the first to the last page, seems to be an impossible task. Now I am happy not because of the 1M views but because something I built from a failure became an opportunity to help many people better understand what project management is about. Thanks for all your support and all the messages I received in the comments. Trust me, I read every single of them, and I have replied to many.
