Hello Everyone,⠀ ⠀ Recently I saw a LinkedIn post that scared me. The post compared “Project Management Thinking” with “Scrum Master Thinking”. The image portraits the PM as a centralizer, controller, not a team player, etc. The same image portraits the Scrum Master as a team player, enabler, etc.⠀ ⠀ When I saw that I decided to reply, I mentioned that this is not a comparison between PM and Scrum Master. It is a comparison between a good and a bad professional. ⠀ ⠀ This goes above and beyond the method used. For me, the method or tool you use is responsible for maybe 10% of the success. The other 90% is not as simple as the method. They are deeply connected to the ability to solve problems, getting the right team in place, motivating people among several others.⠀ ⠀ If methods were perfect, we would not have large infrastructure projects failing despite using the best project management tools available, and we would not have 70% of all digital transformations failing (Forbes) despite using state of the art in Agile methods.⠀ ⠀ I want to highlight that I am a big fan of every method that works. I do not care what name it has.
