Hi All, One of my 2022 personal projects was completed this week! I've recently concluded my course as a board member at the IBGC - Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance). What a fantastic program! This was a great chance to broaden my horizons on the subject of corporate governance to help me to become a board member of publicly traded organizations in Brazil. I put my determination to the test by staying up till 2:30 AM night after night, every day, for two and a half months. For the first time in my life, I had to participate in group exercises at 1:00 AM! 😃 I have done this on Mondays and Wednesdays 16 times since the beginning of August. But every second was well spent. As a counterargument to people who are perpetually "busy," I offer the following: if you value something, you can make time for it. They have a great team of experts, and my classmates were amazing!!! 🚀 Having spent the entire day together for the first time in São Paulo yesterday, our meeting was truly unforgettable. My sincere appreciation goes to all professors for the brilliant classes. A big thank you to Adriane dos Santos de Almeida and all the staff of IBGC. I also want to thank Sandra Guerra for being such a positive influence on my decision to participate in the course. Her advice, not only before the course but also during our lunch yesterday, will stay with me. Last but not least, I want to express my appreciation to my wonderful wife and partner in life, Zelia. She made sacrifices in our personal life throughout the few months and was always there for me with hot coffee and, most importantly, plenty of love, care, and support during the endless nights. I love you! ❤️ My next step is to take the exam and earn the CCA designation (I have loved certifications since I was 20 years old!).
