Hello everyone. Today is an extraordinary day for me. In 2016, at the time of my departure from the UN, I was talking to Ana Streva, head of the Brazilian producer NÓS, about life in refugee camps and how most people had a distorted view of war and the suffering those who have lost everything, especially their dignity, endure. From there came the idea of Zaatari: Memories of the Labyrinth, a documentary by Pascoal Samora that tells stories about the lives of people in one of the largest refugee camps in the world, Zaatari, in Jordan. Today the film premieres in São Paulo. It will be shown in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro from this Thursday, 30/5. It is an honor for me to have the opportunity to share a very relevant part of my life, a very fulfilling volunteering experience. The Brazilian GRIFA FILMES, NÓS, Globo Filmes, Globo News and Canal Brasil, were in charge of production, in partnership with the Germans Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduction and the ZDF / Arte Channel. I hope you have the opportunity to see the movie. It will soon also be on streaming platforms :) For more information on how this project came to life, visit https://ricardo-vargas.com/special-projects/zaatari-memories-of-the-labyrinth/ #zaatari #documentary @anaclaudiastreva @paschoalsamora @zdfmediathek @grifafilmes @nos_docs @canalbrasil @globofilmes @globonews @fdesouzadias @gerbruederbeetz Full trailer https://youtu.be/c_GwJlUicgc
